Illuminati-Manga was founded in the fall of 2005 with the intent to properly scanlate the Gantz Manual. And while we’re going on four nine thirteen years now, we’re still continuing to fail to achieve our original goal.
We were conceived in the Gantz forum on StopTazmo by coolerimmortal. At first, we fell into the usual pitfall most completely inexperienced groups do – picking popular projects that many others are already doing. From there, we grew quickly, accepting anyone who would apply. Our initial releases were terrible. It might surprise you, but hurried releases by people who have no idea what they’re doing don’t turn out too well.
At some point mid-2006, due to diminished involvement with the group, coolerimmortal was replaced by GGpX. From there, the group began to resemble what it is now. And now I’m done typing.
Illuminati-Manga is now a group of people who scanlate a wide variety of manga, mostly series that are aimed to an older audience with sometimes a more refined taste.
