Hello! I did say we will revive the next stalled project. Therefore, this cursed series is back. Cursed, because this has to be the 3rd attempt to revive it, and as they say: Third time’s the charm.
Our joint with Dekoboko Scanlations has… for a lack of a better word “faded out” I guess at no fault of anyone but life. Soul is an amazing translator and DarkStalls is an equally sublime typesetter, but alas sometimes life comes around and backhand slaps you right in the balls. Priorities shift, stuff comes up and you realize you’d rather read for free than work for free. All the best to Dekoboko staff, I do hope they continue with their other projects in due time, the scanlation world severely lacks high quality seinen groups.
So then what? Seeing as we are stuck on ch2, a year ago Doni69 from We Need More Yankiis approached me with an offer to translate and Jawsh supposedly to typeset. While scripts came in nicely, this guy, this duuude Jawsh decides to go to a university! I thought he was an old man, just like the rest of us. What are you even studying for? Senior Palliative Self-Care? So then we had no typesetter again, and while I made some attempts to TS it myself, I’m not really cut for it — too old to learn new skills, so the project stalled again.
2nd time I organized a joint with FuruyaFan who released Chapter 3 on his own, we reworked ch3 with finetuned script and our HQ pages, he did a fast turnaround on typesetting. Everything looked sunshine, we have a typesetter and then he just stopped responding on discord….. I really hope everything is okay for him and life-stuff just came up, and really nothing bad happened.
So where are we now? Around summer I was approached by Bernd-Scans (another excellent group, if you don’t know, check out their works, these guys don’t miss) with an offer to do typesetting part. And the rest is history (or right now, actually). Fingers crossed we see this to the end.
