Reason: I spend a ridiculous amount of time reading manga and I just finished my HSC so I have free time. Job I'm applying for is casual and even if I do work full-time I can do this at my leisure for hours a day if necesary.

Experience: None, but I have photoshop cs4 and over 100gb of leeched manga sitting on my HDD, so it's time to give back. Also I'm willing to learn any position really, and as far as proofreading goes I have a good grasp on the English language in terms of grammar and spelling (and I hate reading manga without either).

Reason: I've been reading manga for...5 years(?) now, and I've encountered many amazing stories and characters and authors, as well as the people who read them. In this time, I've learned that, although everyone is working their hardest, there just hasn't been enough people helping with scanlations. And I've felt the growing frustration that I'm sure everyone else has about how slowly releases are being sent out. And now, after so many years of sitting on the sidelines, I've decided that I can help make a difference. So I'm applying as an editor.
