Riki-Oh Chapter 8 Well, what can I say about this. It's fucking Riki-Oh!

Hello Baby One Shot Something I've been planning to do ever since it was first announced. I love Takeshi Obata's art, and Masanori Norita is pretty cool himself. Since the people in TOWNL like Obata's stuff too, we decided to make a nice scanlation of Hello Baby (You can delete the LQ crap you had before.)

History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi Chapter 82 I've said it before, I don't like anything about this series. But plenty of people [somehow] enjoy this, so, uh... Enjoy? I guess?

Holyland Chapter 15 Our first release with our new joint partners at Hyde-Ltd. Hopefully chapter 16'll be out not too long from now.

And finally, Tista Chapter 01. This is easily the single chapter that I've put the most work on in my entire scanlation career. You don't want to know what happened with this over the last 14 days. A lot of translation problems (Initial translator was off very often--To the point he wrote his own dialogue at some points.), had 4 other different translators chip in at certain points. Then I finally stumbled along richvh who decided to t/l check the whole chapter, and re-check it after I did all of his changes. Then I had to do the bubble-SFX. Then, the bad part came. Anath's QC. A whopping 7kb .txt file with QC changes. I felt like strangling him in the 3-4 hours I was working on fixing the chapter. As for the editting, I had a bunch of problems figuring out the proper sharpening filter on the back. I think I used 4-5 different ones seperately until I found the proper one. Anyway, to sum it up, a lot of work.

A special thanks to methanol, anpan & Kaens for the help on the chapter even though you weren't credited.

Recruiting proofreaders (Ammongst everything else). Kinda, somewhat urgent I guess.

I had 4 usual proofreaders.

1 of them is getting used to university & exams and is putting her time into school while passing by time to time. (Taisa)

1 of them disappeared, probably due to exams. (grlubb)

1 of them just bought a new house & his office moved along with more working hours, so can't dedicate himself to proofreading as much. (theAntagonist)

1 of them is on irc all the time but bitches about the same shit I bitch about, then constantly goes on about Dexter or DGM or some shit while never actually doing any work. (Digital_Eon)

That being said, I'd like to start typesetting some stuff (Tough, Riki-Oh, Holyland, just to name a few...) but I have nobody to proofread them!

If you wanna apply, you to need to have the following:

-Good English (Obviously)
-Either idle on IRC, or often active on the forums.
-Self-motivated.
-Good worker.

Okay, let me explain. First off, yes, we did drop HSDK over a year & a half ago when the team doing it left the group. I had no interest in the manga (Still don't, I can't find anything good about it.).

Second, a few people we recruited recently came from Kuro-Hana. I first recruited Lavos (Editor for Koukou Tekken-den Tough & Riki-Oh, and some other stuff at times.) and after a week, he invited the people in K-H to work here (Zero_Profile & richvh). They came, and are currently working here. They eventually asked me if they could continue HSDK in this group, because their typesetter/leader in Kuro-Hana had gone MIA. I accepted, and we got a typesetter for them.

Third, if ever Kuro-Hana gets their typesetter back and is back up & running properly, I don't know what'll happen. My instincts tell me they'll go back to doing it solo (Which is fine with me really), but if not, it might just mean faster release. Who knows. Time'll tell.
